Regardless of what you think of Miley Cyrus (and her potential motives with the release of this video), I am excited about the idea that her bold show of support might help to move some of her millions of young fans out of apathy and isolation and inspire them to stand up for justice, compassion, and community.
And I’m not just talking about getting people “occupying”. If this video gets some of the youth, who have spent their lives being manipulated by mainstream corporate media, thinking about some of the ways in which they are being hornswaggled that’s a big deal in and of itself.
Awakening to a whole new kind of party (in the USA).

Are you fucking serious? A 19 year old auto-tuned multi-millionaire co-opting Occupy Wall Street? It’s catchy for sure, especially that “Liberty Liberty Liberty!” bit. Yes, this is exactly what we need — a dance anthem. Let’s just dance-battle the bankers.
